If you know me, a lot of you will know how mildly obsessed I am with different superstitions and traditions of all kinds. One that is fairly new to me is of Gremlin bells that I think is necessary for every biker out there, most bikers are familiar with this one but not too many non-bikers are. The story of the road gremlins is a tale that if you mount this usually brass bell to the lowest part of your bike this will ward off those evil road gremlins that reap havoc on the roads causing harm to bikers on the road. Apparently they don't like the sound of the bell and flee when heard. I bought one of these for Chris at a swap meet a while back and made him wear a St. Christopher charm too. St. Christopher is the saint of travels, I am not a very religious person, but I do believe in all these little trinkets and charms to bring good fortune and safety. I can never keep him too safe on the road!
So Chris showed me this video made for Max Schaaf's new Vans collaboration with Utility Board Supply which includes a hand written note(cute)and a custom gremlin bell. Kinda amazing!
